This is the last entry to the PABUCA Project. For the theme „water“ I am showing the most important water in Frankfurt, the river Main. Especially at night the reflections of the city do their best to please the eye.

Darkness is usually not the best friend of any Photographer. While you can absolutely get nice pictures even in dark environment, weirdly one of the best times to take pictures is right on the edge of darkness.
Great shadows short before sunset.
Lovely colours only minutes after sunset. Night is coming…
And there finally, in the middle of the night. As dark as it gets in Frankfurt…
We are surrounded by communication, every day, everywhere. It is not only people talking and phones ringing, receiving e-mails and letters, communication can also be found somewhere else, in places we almost not recognize any more.
Weird messages on the wall.
Angry rants on the fence.
Kinky commercials on lamp posts.
With a little delay this week, here is my contribution to the PABUCA 7:30 a.m. theme.
Every morning the same procedure, getting out of bed into the shower (no picture taken here), then having breakfast,
now a steaming hot cup of coffee to go on the way to the train station,
but too late, the train is long gone…
Of course it is forbidden to spraypaint urban environment. But still Grafitti is part of every bigger town, probably everywhere in the world. You just can’t stop creativity. Or vandalism. Depending on the point of view…..

Funny thing with this weeks topic: You mostly can’t tell if a passage is an entrance or an exit. Some may even function in both ways. This even may differ from person to person. It is just like everywhere in life, what is an exit for one will be an entrance for another. So for this week I will leave you with the following:
Some doors may close forever once you pass them, but be assured, there will be others, wide open, on your way forward.

There must be millions of things with numbers in a big town like Frankfurt. Surprisingly this does not make it easier to choose three pictures. Though, this is still better than having no pictures to choose from.
Some things are easy to miss as there are much brighter things behind them.
Some things help people do their job.
And some things help all of us to get home safe at night.
For quite some time I had no idea what to shoot for the monotony theme. There is just too much that is interesting, and taking a picture of a white wall does not really work for me. But then, during a group photowalk, I took all three pictures seen below in less than 4 minutes. Creativity is a weird little thing….
