Blumenmarkt in Amsterdam
Well, vastness. Another theme that didn’t ring a bell at first. So auntie Google and uncle Wiki had to lend me a hand. Turns out that there is a lot of vastness to see in Frankfurt.
Shot last Sunday at the Ironman European Championship, a small part of the bike park at the end of the biking section. The Ironman distance is 3.8 km swimming, 180 km biking and 42.2 km running. My deepest respect to everybody who accepted this challenge, whether he or she finished the distance or not.
(oh, and in case you’re wondering, the estimated value of the bikes in this picture is somewhere around 3 Million Euro…)
One of many recreation areas in downtown Frankfurt, there is really a vast variety to choose from.
And finally the nightly view from the Maintower to the Frankfurt Eastside and beyond.
Hello, PABUCians and Followers, welcome back to another week, this time again with three pictures from Frankfurt. We have plenty of possible weekend activities, three of them can now be found here.
This is a view inside the Waldstadion, filled with somewhere around 6000 visitors. Obviously this was for American Football (Frankfurt has 2 Teams), for the Eintracht Frankfurt soccer games the Stadium is usually a lot fuller.
This is a regular day on the Zeil, the shopping street in central Frankfurt. Many street vendors offer paintings, balloons, toys, jewelry and others.
Another way to spend your weekend, make a bike tour with the kids. Along the river Main there are many paths to be discovered.
I found this bicycle very abandoned somewhere in Hamburg. Not the prettiest part of this wonderful city but still worth showing.
