Well, Traffic, it’s always important, often annoying and rarely ever pleasing to the eye. Nevertheless I tried to catch some pretty moments of Frankfurt Traffic and, once again, I had a hard time choosing from so many pictures. This also forced me to add another topic to this week: Airport. With one of the biggest Airports of Europe in the Neighborhood, this is an always present, hot topic everywhere in and around Frankfurt.
First Picture is an AeroLogic Boeing 777F in final approach to Runway 25R.
Second picture is the Autobahn A3 right after sunset. The light yellow line on the right is Runway 07L/25R from picture 1.
Third picture is the eastern Aircraft Bridge (and a Lufthansa A321-231) above the high speed train track from Frankfurt to Cologne. Two of these bridges are connecting the new Runway 07L/25R with the rest of the airport, crossing this train tracks, the Autobahn A3 seen above and the Airportring seen in my Sunday post.
Attention, knowledge: What does the 07L/25R mean? Internationally runways are named by their geographical orientation. In this case, the 07/25 mean 70 and 250 degrees on a 360 degree compass scale. The L and R are the position when you approach the airport (left or right), so the Pilot knows which of the 3 runways he has to use. If you are no aviation geek and do not want to be looked at with crazy faces, simply call it „Landebahn Nordwest“, but I thought it might be interesting to know.

Alle drei gelungen. Erstes fast idyllisch, schön mit dem von rechts ins Bild fliegenden Ungetüm, zweites eigenwillig vom Bildaufbau her, gefällt mir aber gut mit so viel Himmel (Die A3 an sich, um Frankfurt herum gefällt mir weniger…ungefähr so wie die A3 um Köln). Das dritte ist natürlich eine ganz eigene „Verkehrssymbiose“.
Die A3 kenne ich nur zu gut von irgendwo hinter Köln bis irgendwo hinter Nürnberg und die ist nirgendwo wirklich liebenswert. Als Fotomotiv allerdings….. ganz andere Geschichte 😉
Das dritte Foto hatte ich tatsächlich schon ausgewählt, als ich gesehen habe, dass es das Thema Traffic gibt. Diese Brücken sind nun mal nichts alltägliches.
Bild Nr. 1 weckt das Fernweh!
Bild Nr. 2 stillt es ein wenig und stimmt positiv!
Bild Nr. 3 holt einen dann wieder in die Realität zurück, ein sensationeller „Verkehrs-Dreiklang“!

Das erste strahlt auf mich viel Harmonie aus, wie aus einem Urlaubsprospekt. Das zweite Foto ist dann eher die Hektik 🙂 und das Dritte ist mein Favorit – super Kombination von Flieger und Gleisen.

Ja, stimmt schon. Und es fasziniert mich immer noch, wie sehr ein Foto von der Realität abweichen kann. Harmonie empfindet hier nämlich fast niemand für den Flughafen 😀

Die beiden ersten sind ästhetisch wunderschöne Fotos, auch miteinander verbunden, weil die Autobahn ja fast ‚durch‘ den Flughafen geht. Das dritte ist natürlich lustig: Flugzeug auf Brücke 😉
