Bye, winter!

Nachdem die Temperaturen jetzt langsam wieder steigen, hier ein letzter Gruß an den Winter. Es war lange genug kalt, wir freuen uns jetzt auf die neue Jahreszeit!

Das Foto stammt aus dem Frankfurter Palmengarten, die wie jedes Jahr die Winterlichter-Ausstellung hatten. Bei Schnee sieht das immer besonders schön aus.

PABUCA: lights

Perfect timing for the new PABUCA topic, now that everything is covered in lights and ready for Christmas. So I took the hint and made my way over the Frankfurt Christmas Market. Of course, on a sunday evening it was packed with people so I escaped as soon as I got all I needed. I’ll eventually be back at a less crowded time…

Frankfurt nach Sonnenuntergang

PABUCA: vastness

Well, vastness. Another theme that didn’t ring a bell at first. So auntie Google and uncle Wiki had to lend me a hand. Turns out that there is a lot of vastness to see in Frankfurt.

Shot last Sunday at the Ironman European Championship, a small part of the bike park at the end of the biking section. The Ironman distance is 3.8 km swimming, 180 km biking and 42.2 km running. My deepest respect to everybody who accepted this challenge, whether he or she finished the distance or not.

(oh, and in case you’re wondering, the estimated value of the bikes in this picture is somewhere around 3 Million Euro…)
