Frankfurt Höchst – cool auch ohne Hochhäuser

For this weeks PABUCA theme, I take you once more to the historic city center of Frankfurt-Höchst. With its very traditional architecture, this quarter of Frankfurt is well worth a visit.

After last week, when some little faults made their way into the project, this is already the second PABUCA week I am showing pictures that have not been taken in Frankfurt. More or less…..

I plan to show you places surrounding Frankfurt, starting with Höchst. Technically Höchst is nowadays a part of Frankfurt, but it used to be a separate City until 1928. And even today it is still special as it still is not only known for the incredibly big industrial complex „Industriepark Höchst“, but it has also kept its historic city centre.

More to the southwest you can find wide and very flat landscapes, with many small villages scattered between the wheat fields. Agriculture is a major part of the area there.

More to the northeast is the mountain range „Taunus“, an area with lots of forests and apparently a good view on Frankfurt. I just barely can’t let a week pass without showing you the pretty skyline.
