What did people do to show their love before they were putting padlocks on bridges?

It is PABUCA time again, this week about exhibitions. A difficult topic if you do not want to go and shoot the obvious trade show. So I thought about something like Graffitti and ended up with very various ways of street art.
Art is always also depending on the viewers eye, so this is could as well be a public art installation.
Very often street art is also intended to carry a message. This has been found next to the Zoo.
Finally the subway station next to the „Städel“, a Museum for modern art. I do like the message it transports…
Starting today, there is a brand new Project in the blogging world, called PABUCA. It is aiming to show three different pictures of your hometown, with a different topic every week. To me the main difference (and also main reason to join) is that the topics are already set and published (currently until April 1st) so you have a loooooooong time to choose and prepare the pictures as you like them. I am just afraid that I might pretty soon sit here on a tuesday evening and have too many pictures to choose from but I decided to take that risk. If you are interested , stop by at their page and join the show.

First picture: Westhafen Tower („Das Gerippte“) with it’s typically shaped windows.
Second picture: Subway U4 waiting for passengers at station „Bockenheimer Warte“
Third picture: Window at a train station in Zeppelinheim (Frankfurt suburbia) which commuters to Frankfurt are passing every morning.
This weeks weekly Photo Challenge asks for a juxtaposition. A picture that shows two things that build a contrast with their difference. At least this is what I understood…
The photo was taken on the christmas market in Darmstadt, Germany and in my opinion the comic balloons make a great contrast in front of the ancient statue of Louis IV, who was the Grand Duke of Hesse and by Rhine (yes, I did have to look this up).
Everybody have a nice weekend!
Heute zum Magic Monday: Ganz entfernt, die BAB A5 am Samstagabend.
